Lewis Jewelers Exchange/Return Policies
Our 30 day in-store credit policy gives you plenty of time to consider your purchase and confirm that you made the right decision.
If for any reason you aren't satisfied, you can return any item in its original condition (without custom engraving) within 30 days of the date of shipment for an exchange or in-store credit. It's that simple.
Exchanges, Resizes and Repairs
We can exchange your jewelry for another item, give you another ring size, repair your item or mount your diamond in a setting. Call to speak to a diamond and jewelry consultant.
Our Return for Exchange Process
Once we receive your unwanted item, it will be reviewed by our Quality Assurance Department and your exchange will be processed in just a few days. Please note that items showing signs of wear or those that have been engraved, altered, resized (by a jeweler other than Lewis Jewelers), or are damaged in any way cannot be accepted for return. Returns without a Lewis Jewelers return code and packages that are improperly packaged or uninsured, will be refused receipt.
How to Prepare an Exchange
To exchange a diamond or jewelry item to Lewis Jewelers, follow our three step process:
- Your Exchange Authorization Code. Call (281) 332-8433 and you will be given an Exchange Authorization Code. Write this code on the sticker found at the bottom of your original invoice. Affix the sticker to the outside of the box of the item you are exchanging.
- Package Your Exchange. Place all the original packaging in the box, including the appraisal and the diamond certificate (The diamond certificate carries a $250 replacement fee). For security reasons, do not write Lewis Jewelers anywhere on the outside of the box.
- Insure Your Package. On your invoice, if the price of the item you're exchanging is listed as:
- Less than $500: You can ship it via any carrier. Be sure to ship your item fully insured, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached its destination.
- More than $500: Ship your package via US Postal Service Registered Mail™, insured for the total value of the contents, and request a return receipt for confirmation that your shipment has reached Lewis Jewelers of Houston.* (FedEx® and UPS® will not insure merchandise over $500.)
